Do you have an ancestor who fought in or supported the American Revolution? Do you want to make a difference in your community and preserve our American heritage? Then please join us. We look forward to your visiting a meeting, and our assisting you in achieving your membership in the DAR.

EligibilityAny woman is eligible for membership in the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution who is not less than eighteen years of age, and who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence. She must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage, and death.
Admission to membership in the NSDAR is by invitation through a chapter in a state organization or unit overseas. No chapter may discriminate against an applicant on the basis of race or creed. |
How to JoinTo learn about membership requirements, please visit the NSDAR website that offers a wealth of information about the application process. When an interested, prospective member completes a membership interest form, the chapter will contact you directly.
Substantial history resources are open to the public at the NSDAR website including the Genealogical Research System (GRS) and Library, which are both convenient and world-famous. |

Membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution honors and preserves the legacy of your patriot ancestor. Over two hundred years ago, American patriots fought and sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today. As a member of DAR, through participation in the National Society’s various programs and activities, you can continue this legacy by actively supporting historic preservation, promotion of education, and patriotic endeavors.
